What is Paralegal Stars™?
Paralegal Stars™ is an informational and educational tool for nearshore paralegals who support U.S. personal injury law firms. We organize workflows, sample documents, quizzes, and scenario practice so paralegals can recognize common tasks and vocabulary. We are not a school, university, or continuing legal education (CLE) provider.
Is this professional education or CLE?
No. Paralegal Stars™ is an informational and educational tool. We do not award academic credit, bar-approved CLE hours, or any credential that authorizes the practice of law. Any certificate or badge is a record of platform activity, not a professional license.
Who should use this site?
The site is designed for employed or aspiring paralegals in personal injury practice. It is also useful for law firms that want a standardized onboarding resource for their teams. It is not a substitute for formal paralegal studies or legal training.
What does 'informational' mean in practice?
It means our content explains concepts, shows examples, and asks practice questions. It does not tell you what to do in a real case, predict outcomes, or adapt advice to a specific client's facts. Always apply what you learn under the direction of a licensed attorney at your firm.
What we are not
Does Paralegal Stars™ provide legal advice?
No. Nothing on this site or in any quiz, scenario, template, or message is legal advice. Content is generic, educational-style information. A licensed attorney must review any document, deadline, or strategy before it is used in a real matter.
Can I use the templates in real cases?
Only if a licensed attorney at your firm reviews, edits, and approves them first. Templates are starting examples, not finished work product. Court rules, firm standards, and the facts of each case change what a document should say.
Are the quizzes and scenarios legal guidance?
No. Quizzes and scenarios are practice exercises. They help you recognize common facts, terms, and workflows. The correct answer in a quiz is the best answer among the choices given; it is not a ruling on what you should do for a real client.
Is the content up to date with current law?
We try to keep content accurate, but laws, court rules, insurance practices, and firm procedures change. Do not rely on any page, quiz, or template as a current statement of law. Confirm all rules, deadlines, and forms with a licensed attorney or official source.
Does completing a program authorize me to practice law?
No. Only licensed attorneys may practice law. Paralegal Stars™ does not authorize anyone to give legal advice, represent clients, or perform tasks reserved for attorneys.
Is the content state-specific?
Some content focuses on New Jersey personal injury practice as an example. Even state-specific content is informational and may not reflect the latest rule, local rule, or your firm's procedure. Verify locally with a licensed attorney.
What to do instead
I need legal advice. What should I do?
Contact a licensed attorney in the relevant jurisdiction. If you are a paralegal, speak with an attorney at your firm. If you are a member of the public, consult a lawyer licensed in your state. Do not use this site as a substitute for that conversation.
I have a deadline in a real case. Can I rely on the site?
No. Deadlines, statutes of limitations, and filing rules change and must be verified through official court resources, your firm's calendar system, and a licensed attorney. Treat anything you read here as a general overview, not a deadline calculator.
How do I know whether a task is appropriate for a paralegal?
Ask an attorney at your firm. The scope of paralegal work varies by state, firm, and case. A licensed attorney is responsible for assigning work, reviewing it, and ensuring it complies with ethical and legal rules.
Can I ask SocratOwl™ for legal advice?
No. SocratOwl™ is a study helper. It explains concepts, points to content, and helps you understand practice material. It does not know your case, your jurisdiction, or your firm's instructions, and it will not give legal advice.
What if I think content is wrong?
Tell us at admissions@paralegalstars.com. We will review it. Do not act on questionable content until you confirm it with a licensed attorney. Your firm's procedures and local rules always take precedence over anything on this platform.
Using the platform
Who can create an account?
Accounts are available to individuals and law firms approved through our application flow. Firm accounts may invite authorized team members. Each seat is tied to a subscription plan and must be used by the assigned person.
Can I share my login or content with people outside my firm?
No. Accounts, content access, and downloaded materials are for the registered user and their sponsoring firm. Sharing credentials or materials outside the firm violates our Terms of Use.
What happens if my firm reaches its seat cap?
We offer a seat-request and waitlist path. Firm administrators can purchase additional seats or request a plan upgrade. Individual users cannot add seats themselves; the firm admin must approve the expansion.
Is my data protected?
We use industry-standard security and access controls. Review our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how we store it. We do not store confidential client matter information entered through quizzes or scenarios.
How do I report a bug or accessibility issue?
